CNC Machinist and Manager

Franklin Armory™ firearms manufacturing is searching for an experienced, talented, and enthusiastic machinist with a high attention to detail to manage our machining efforts at our Minden Nevada facility. The person in this position is responsible for communicating with our Chief of Design on R&D development projects as well as the set up and transition from R&D to production. Furthermore, this individual would be responsible for bringing in projects under budget while managing, workflow, product orders and deliveries, and managing additional machinist personnel.


Minimum Requirements:

*  A 2-4 year degree is preferred but not required.
*  1-2 years of 4th AXIS CNC and Management experience is required.
*  The ability to consistently make individual, team, and company goals.
*  Must have programming experience. (G-code, NX, etc.)
*  Must have set up experience.
*  Must have some management experience. (Shift supervisor, shop lead, etc.)
*  Proven fourth axis CNC machining experience.
*  Possess personal tools to perform the job.
*  Must not be legally precluded from working around firearms. (e.g. no DV, Felonies, etc.)
*  Must be drug free.

Physical Demands:

*  Required to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Moderate walking, standing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work outside and inside, around moving objects, and with machinery with moving parts. Frequent exposure to fumes, dust and noise.

Work Environment:

*  Work performed in a shop environment.
*  Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
